Fun blast from past

Not long ago, someone commented that something I said wasn’t the absolute truth. I immediately agreed – see previous posts (Communication and Technology and Reeeally?? ) It isn’t important that I am right or that the specific words I say are absolute truth. What is important to me is I am in integrity and speaking from the heart. The proof in the pudding, for me, is not about the purity of my human words, but the “positive” results I observe when people choose to go with certain ideas and suggestions I’ve shared. Those who listen from their heart, and with pure intent, will find the light and value shared from my heart to theirs. In this spirit, I hereby continue my mer-musings….

Close to Ring Discovery Spot

I had an opportunity to spend a little time in familiar Ventura, California. Along with a number of other synchronicities, I found myself on the very same beach I magically divined my mysterious heart shaped ruby ring buried in the sand Magic and Miracles. One challenge for me is to stay in appreciation as the

beaches in California don’t fit my preferences for a beach. In order to enjoy my surroundings, I had to acknowledge that I don’t always get what I want but I get what I need. 😉 I have a choice to see the beauty in the current experience or note the non-desirability. One might think this a simple choice. While it may be simple, for me, it is not always easy. Often, I need to make the conscious choice to enjoy a dozen times per hour. If you find yourself in not the most desirable situation, you have choices too. You can take action to change your situation. Sometimes, that option lies only within ourselves. The good news is that is our place of greatest power….. the Universe within.

My precious grandson, Carter, brought (and continues to bring) me the greatest joy. His infectious smile, his angelic slumber, his determined curiosity and enthusiasm – all change the energy in my life and the world. There were moments when he pauses and seems

to remember all that was before. Carter's eyes can pierce into one’s heart and remind them what is important. Hope springs strong as I interact with this Little Master, as well as being aware of so many children like him that are powerfully reshaping the world into a brighter place.

In previous post From Atlantis to Lemuria and Beyond you read about my 

amazing upcoming one way cruise. The point of origin being Hawaii and the disembarkation port in French Polynesia. I’d hoped to line up a work exchange situation that would allow me to stay In Tahiti, Moorea, or one of the other surrounding islands for 3 months. It so happened I was not able to line up all my ducks by the date I’d set for it to happen. Being so close to cruise departure, it brought me peace to explore alternate arrangements. As a result, I have not only one 14 day tropical cruise ahead, but two! With a dear friend’s participation and other angels’ contributions, I will be doing the reverse cruise on the same ship – going back through French Polynesian

Islands and revisiting…..Lemuria aka Hawaii. Evidently I have some unfinished business there. I am enthusiastic about the possibilities along every bit of the journey. And after that?? Who knows? There was a possibility of an 18 day cruise that piqued my excitement. It goes from French Polynesia to Australia and New Zealand. These have been places I’d have loved to explore but hadn’t been able financially to pull off. Since my second cruise has me heading back to Aloha Land, it seems the dream for farther south

exploration evaporated with it. However, anything is possible. Putting out to the Universe the possibility of another miracle. While I allow for that miracle to come in infinite forms, here is one potentiality. The cruise ship I am on turns around again from Hawaii – returning to French Polynesia. That same ship continues on to the 18 day cruise to Australia and New Zealand. Open to donations, sponsorship, travel companion or ??? to facilitate this. Please contact if you feel nudged to play along. Do YOU have “Impossible Dreams”? Do you brush them aside as there is no way they can happen or do you shoot for the moon? What can you do today to “put it out to the Universe?” You may be surprised at what you can manifest. At the very least, you’ll end up in the stars. Seas the day!

With all the interesting technical dynamics I’ve been dealing with – loss of data, lack of functionality and such -  I am doing my best to maintain my options for keeping in touch. If you enjoy reading my blog, please follow on blogger if you haven’t already. I can't even figure out how to get a link to direct you to follow. There is possibly a link in the column to the right of this post (depending on your device) that shows a Follow button.  Also, number of emails bounced from people who said they wanted to get notifications. Supposedly some weren’t getting them because I needed a domain authentication or such. I may have rectified that – although I am not sure. If you want email announcements for newly released blog posts, and aren’t currently getting them, please let me know and I will do my best to take care of that. Keep in mind, while cruising, I will have minimal internet so please be patient if you don’t get a timely response. I trust we will communicate in Divine time.

Ongoing thanks to all my Angels. From coffee, meals, gym facilities, vehicles, hotels, house stays, airline flights, and more – this fantastic voyage continues to be possible because of you! I can never pay you back financially or in traditional human ways. But the deeper ways I can facilitate the exchange, you know you are lovingly surrounded with daily. Mahalo Nui Loa

Common Sense?

“It’s just common sense!” has been uttered dogmatically throughout the decades. But is it really? Ever consider why common sense isn’t so common? The reasons are as vast as the planet and beyond. Most people where not brought up the same way – different parents, different countries, different languages and cultures. This alone would contribute to so many thoughts/beliefs/actions not held in common. What is a sign of appreciation in some cultures, is an insult in others. What is a compliment to one, is an insult to another. What is gorgeous to some, is ghastly to someone else. One’s justice - another’s crime.

Usually, when people call on “common sense”, they really mean common to what they themselves believe is right or makes sense. They align with others who have programming, beliefs and practices in common with them, thus reinforcing their own beliefs and way of life.

So, you see, it is virtually impossible to have only one way of being even in one city – much less the whole world. Instead of bemoaning the lack of, or wishing for, common sense, might it not be more helpful to look for common ground? We will all have our differences – those things that make each and every one of us uniquely beautiful. We wouldn’t really want to all look the same – think the same – act the same. We aren’t robots or a clone race so let’s celebrate our differences and enjoy our similarities.  

Something many have in common with me, to a greater or lesser degree, is a dependence on technology. Once upon a time I was told

that everyone successful in business needed proper branding and a website. I spent a lot of time, money and energy cultivating that “requirement” and never had the results I’d hoped for with them. What’s more - these activities certainly didn’t fall into the “what brings me joy” category. Recently, I have made the tough decision to take my website down. With technology changing every week, I really hadn’t been able to use it properly for the past 15+ years. I held on to retain info on it that I wanted and hoped, someday, to have someone else take over. Or, at least, make it so I could manage the content again. In all these years, neither has happened and it had become more and more obsolete. Perhaps a sign I may not need as much technology in the future?

Another sign (?) is my email continuing to be blocked and the alternate service to my challenges – Mailchimp – not performing (pun intended) desirably either.   First it was my email service – Rackspace -  that was supposedly the problem – evidently flagged for “spam”. It seems that sending something only once a month is suspicious as opposed to flooding peoples’ email boxes on a more frequent basis. Then it was the recipients. Hotmail, aol and yahoo were big spam offenders so they were punishing me? by blocking my emails? I still get a plethora of spam flowing to my Hotmail and universalwellness accounts so none of it makes sense at all to me – from a human perspective, that is. Whatever the issue, it really seems like the tech windows are closing around me….

Part of my mission is making compassion, love and beauty more “common”. I sense if we can increase the percentage of those qualities in the world, we will increase the light and happiness of all humanity. Love Always…Technology Occasionally

Those who know me well, also know Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. I must add - as if we need a holiday to celebrate Love! For me, when one is focusing on Love, they are in the most wonderful moment, dimension or space. Delightfully, it can be repeated and lived eternally – or, at least, as long as we can keep our conscious intention focused.

While doing my best to come from a place of love, today I report a bit about my relationship with technology. As long as technology has been available, I’ve had tech “issues”. When the internet first came to be, I just “had to” have an aol account to be in business. Then I “had to” have a website. Of course, the obligatory newsletter was not far behind. Then followed the social media explosion starting with Myspace. While I admit to dragging my feet the whole way – not thrilled with it at all, I did my best to learn so I could be the most professional and successful in my wellness business. Some knew me back then, when my company name and logo – yes, one’s logo

absolutely defined their business! – was Fit Bodies. (Long before facebook, FB to me meant Fit Bodies!) Very quickly, my practice expanded to encompass so much more than my clients’ bodies. Dancing with the balance and integration of body, mind, spirit and beyond, Fit Bodies evolved into UniversalWellness.  (Thanks Russ and Julie at JRP Productions Graphic Design for my current gorgeous lotus logo!) 

I used technology to market, to create a book, for bookkeeping and huge (for me) database maintenance among other things. In spite of my best efforts, as soon as I learned something and began integrating it acceptably in my work, the hardware or software changed. This forced me, should I wish to keep up with what was “necessary to succeed in business”, to spend more money each time. Needless to say, I’d have to learn the new format again as well since it generally didn’t behave like its predecessor. I loved working with my clients and teaching classes but the rest of the running the business stuff was constantly challenging. However, I battled on bravely. Why? Because I loved

my clients….and so I could provide the best life possible for my precious children. Unlike in days of old, things – especially all those tech – aren’t made to last. With every new computer I got, I was required to pay all over again for software I’d already spent hundreds of dollars on. But even paying the ransom didn’t prevent losing valuable information and abilities from the older version each time.

My move from CA to FL in 2006 was just the beginning of huge waves of change sweeping over my life. The incredible magicians at Axicom continued to assist me in keeping my database, and other things important on my computer(s), for years. This was particularly tricky with my life transforming to gypsy life and living mostly by trade. Obviously, hardware and software companies won’t exchange their products for wellness coaching and

such. The Axicom Angels helped me rescue remnants of my previously extensive database (around 2,000 contacts) but I finally lost complete use of the ACT software a few years ago. Same thing has been happening with my website for over a decade. I went from working diligently to maintain the content and mailing list and then… Over the years, I was able to do less and less with regard to modifying existing content and adding new information. This was in spite of my web guy doing everything he could for me in the ever-changing tech world.  It finally came down to me basically keeping the website for the presence, a reference for older information and a portal through which I sent out an announcement for new blog posts to the wonderful folks on my personally cultivated emailing list. Since last year, it has been getting shut down with each announcement. The mysterious cause was finally discovered, when it again occurred in January 2021. Sending out a message “only” once a month was seen as “not normal” (then again, what about me is?) and was getting flagged for sending out spam. Evidently the “service” cannot take into consideration individual account needs so I am left with some big questions of how to proceed from here.

A few close ones know it would be easier for me to disappear in some tropical location with virtually no technology. I have seriously been tempted to go that route a number of times over the past decade. Each time, I have regrouped and found a way to hold on...until the Universe shows me otherwise.

I am not even sure how this blog post will be adequately announced now that I cannot do so through my website emailing “service”. The January announcement only went out to maybe half the list before it got shut down. So many times, I have seriously considered just

quitting writing this too… And I do so again now. One of the big reasons it has gone on this long is for Love – it’s definitely not for money! Heartfelt feedback I’ve regularly received has reminded me of the bright difference it has made. And so, at least for this month, I lovingly share this post with you. I trust I will be guided appropriately – on so many levels – on what actions to take for next month. It’s still…one day at a time and sometimes even, one moment at a time. One moment to make a conscious choice to make the best decision possible from a place of Love.

This post drastically evolved into a very different communication than I envisioned for my sparkling Love post. For the moment, I trust this particular message reaches just the right people at exactly the right time.

All For Love

Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday. Some are aware, I have many reasons to not be fond of Valentine’s Day. Among other reasons, few hundred people would understand what I was talking about if I mentioned the Valentine’s Day Massacre. Without going into the details, to say it was traumatic doesn’t even scratch the surface. Usually, I don’t like to bring up “dark” situations but someone reading needed to “hear” this. While not denying the not so happy past Valentine circumstances, I choose to focus on the bigger picture here.   

Expanding a bit on last month’s post and the way we look at things… This can be compared to a mall where you go to different stores and get various things. You have your favorite stores where you know you will find things that please you. There may be stores in that same mall where you would never go as you don’t prefer the energy or style of the places. However, you wouldn’t say it is an awful mall just because it has a couple stores you won’t frequent. You would simply go and shop the retailers you enjoy. A few of you are chuckling at this example knowing my preferences regarding shopping in general but it works for some people haha.

Here are some opportunities on a recent adventure that I had chances to practice what I preach and focus on things that brought me happy feelings.

 Although the work exchange was not quite as presented, I was able to see beauty in what was. There were happy people exercising in the park, many of whom I exchanged cheerful greetings with. It was beyond hilarious seeing a Pit bull jump joyfully to grab a rope hanging from a tree then proceed to simply swing back and forth until he could hold on no longer. There were gorgeous flowers, beautiful skies and, very importantly for me....warmth!!

I observed, once again, that some people appear to have it all. Then there are those that don’t have much in a material sense (including myself here). Many people who have all the stuff, also have more troubles, health issues and/or fears than one might imagine. There are people without great means, who have a great degree of happiness, health and freedom as well. It’s all in the choices made, what one focuses on and the meanings they assign things/events.

Although every day is Love Day, I choose to use the “Hallmark holiday” as an opportunity to focus on it just a bit more. Of all the human created holidays, Valentine’s Day remains my most precious. Many who know this showered me with thoughtful love messages to help me celebrate the occasion. I am extremely grateful to you and all those who have shared their love in any way. Swirling it all around again!!
