You Never Walk Alone

From Mexico, I was mentally repacking for my next adventure to the magnificent Maldives in the Indian Ocean. Excitement was building as I’d been playing so many different angles to bring this to fruition for a very long time. I was looking forward to caring for and playing with 3 year-old twins as well as helping their parents in their dive shop. At the last minute, in a strange twist of fate, they got someone else to help “that could come right away”. Humanly speaking, I was pretty disappointed to say the least. On a higher level, I expressed gratitude knowing this, like numerous previous opportunities that had mysteriously fallen through, was me being protected from an undesirable situation. Better stated, I was being guided in a more favorable direction; one better in line with fulfilling my higher purpose here. Yet again, I ended up in California.

Spirit has spoken to me through songs, among other ways, since I was young. One day, a song came to mind I hadn’t heard in a long time. It was accompanied by a wave of intense emotion, for which I have no accurate label....along with tears. I tried to sing, “When You Walk Through A Storm” out loud. I couldn’t do so without being choked up by tears at a certain point toward the beginning of the song. I'd never actually seen Carousel, from which it originated, or even knew where it came from until I checked online.  Interestingly, I realized I’d drop off right about where Julie Bigelow did in the musical/movie. It wasn’t until very recently that I was finally able to sing it through without crying. It helped that I was in a physical location that nurtured my mind, body and spirit for that to happen. Other than that, my life is nothing like the musical – except for it seeming to go around in circles with its constant ups and downs. Occasionally, I know exactly why I am given a certain message or guidance or sign. More often than not, I muse about the possible meanings of things. I wonder what I can get from the information – a lesson, something to appreciate, the knowing I helped someone even though I don’t know exactly how. Sometimes, I simply accept the sign or synchronicity as confirmation that I am in the perfect place in the perfect time.
You can enjoy the uplifting, but possibly tear-jerking, clip from Carousel hereor this beautiful rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Celtic Woman.

Often, I post on my fb page, Michelle H Coaching, things to inspire readers. Many upliftments are thanks to Neale Donald Walsh, author of Conversations With God. This one seemed an appropriate compliment to this blog post theme:"On this day of your life Dear One, I believe God wants you to know ...

... that you are never alone. Never, ever, ever. God is
always with you, and you have people all around you
who care.

Sometimes it feels good to spend some time by your-
self, but remember, too, that it is okay to reach out to
another if you feel lonely. You would want him or her
to reach out to you, no? So what are you waiting for?

You will not have to think but a second to know
exactly why you received this message today.

Love, your Friend ... Neale"
