The Mexican Adventure Continues

Those on the path of awakening know it isn’t always easy – for most humans that is. Some speak of the Dark Night of the Soul or of walking through their own Private Hell. Like layers of an
onion, some of us need to repeat certain themes until we “get it”. There may be a number of Dark Nights or Personal Hell Traversings. If you noticed, I used “private” and “personal” to describe our Hell experiences. I believe, as crazy as it sounds, we manifest these dramas for our higher good. No one can put us through Hell (without our consent) except ourselves. Likewise, we are the only ones responsible for our own happiness. Recently, I heard a powerful phrase I greatly resonated with. “Absolutely nothing could make me happier in this moment!” I know. I know. Some of you just thought winning the lottery would do the trick or meeting that perfect person or, or, or…… But those things / circumstances in themselves do not make you happy. It is your response or reaction to them. No Thing can make you truly happy. Happiness is exclusively an inside job. So what causes these seemingly dark times? It is basically us blocking the love that is available to ourselves at all times – the love that we ARE. We have old beliefs and habits that prevent us from unconditionally loving and being true to ourselves. Here’s that onion layer thing again. We think we’ve evolved so much and made so many positive shifts that surely “we’ve arrived”. I say that facetiously as I realize we never “arrive” as long as we inhabit this body. But, we are capable of continuing to shed layers like unwrapping present after present - pun intended.

Personally, I am doing my best to notice any behaviors or self-talk that don’t align with unconditional love. On the topic of shedding and transforming, snake continued to be a very "present" reminder of these for me. It clearly is the Year of the Snake!
You have to look very close to see my 6' symbolic snake

When I got the call to go to the Riviera Maya in Mexico, I didn’t know why as I knew it wasn’t “my place”. I also knew it was not specifically for the perfect “vacation” as it was “off season” due to the intense heat and smelly sargassum covered beaches. Add to that those little biting vampires that consider me a delicacy. I was aware of this doing my research before I arrived. I still hoped some miracle might have me enjoying the beach – due to it being cleared or otherwise. And I did get snippets of that in my first month. At the work exchange I spent two weeks at in El Placer, I could actually
imagine the sapphire waters of the area when the time would come for the sargassum to move on. It kinda reflected my inner world. I first had to “see” things as I wished them before more situations I desired would show up. Oh, then there’s that little detail of not getting in my own way. Again, releasing beliefs and inner dialog that negated the abundance I already had. Perhaps you see where you might be doing a little of this in your life too. When speaking about yourself, aloud or within, are you always kind and loving? If you are like me, those old habits existed for many years if not your whole life up to now.
If you chose to make some changes, be gentle with yourself – it’s the loving thing to do!

Yes, I was visualizing those turquoise waters….
Meanwhile, more unexpected twists and turns transpired on my journey. I was to leave my El Placer work exchange early on a Tuesday morning with a day’s worth of somewhat uncertain travel ahead. At 10pm the night before, my next host cancelled. While an interesting development, I figured it was better to have this happen then rather than get there and find out…. That host was clearly not aligned with my frequency, and their energetic field would have disrupted what was now unfolding on my quest. I feel like I was shielded from something more uncomfortable. With a number of direction changes and various transportation modes, I ended up at the Cancun airport on my birthday eve. It was a piece of cake compared to my wild voyage back in 2009 from Panama to Costa Rica with 6 suitcases.

Still, I was tired, physically and mentally, and it was evening. The only thing close that I could peacefully get to quickly was the Hilton Garden Inn attached to the airport. I trusted the Universe would help me find a way to cover it and called it a night there. The simple yet comfortable air-conditioned room was a welcome relief. I awoke on my birthday refreshed from getting more hours of sleep in a row than in a long time. Feeling fantabulous, I did an energizing workout in the gym with a view of an amazing circular pool on the 3rd floor with an atrium in the center. Already the cheerful birthday greetings were starting to flow. I enjoyed a proper delicious brunch with perfect strangers almost miraculously treating me with kindness right and left.

Getting an Uber to my next location was somewhat harrowing. Finally, safe and sound on my way, my kind driver reminded me to relax as I was now in paradise and all was well. And his name…..Miguel Angel! Of course that was his name. Archangel Michael has been one of my protectors since I was born. Another series of miracles had me staying at Airbnbs right on the beach. The first beach had no sargassum and I was actually able to go all the way in the bathtub warm Caribbean Sea for the first time since my arrival in Mexico. And what do you know? There were those sapphire waters I’d imagined earlier! The next morning I finally got in an invigorating run on the beach – another activity I’d seen myself doing before actually arriving in Mexico.
I was blessed to have beach and varied hues of teal water views as well as frequent beach visits throughout my birthweek. The icing on the cake was presented to me one morning before dawn. I’d already seen dozens of turtle tracks and nests the previous few days. But that morning, I got to actually see a mama hawksbill sea turtle. After laying her precious eggs, she was doing her best to camouflage her nest flinging sand all around in the
More Mermaids
process. Finally finishing, she powerfully pulled herself across the soft deep sand returning to the sea. As with other turtle mamas in Florida, more times than I can count, I escorted her back to the water at a respectful distance. She seemed to make one more acknowledgement to me as she was welcomed back by the waves. Not the best video as it was still kinda dark and I'm no photo pro, but you can still get a sense of turtle magic.

A rare beach find to reassure my ❤️

Reminding me of their presence.....

No surprise a nearby beach was Playa Delfines

Recently I made a fb post quoting the Universe via Mike Dooley:
“What if every unexpected delay, postponement, or redirect, My Friend, only meant that at the very last second, right before the scheduled manifestation, I had an even better idea?
It happens. ~ The Universe”

I can only imagine what the Universe has in store for me….and that imagining probably can’t scratch the surface of what wonders await both you and me.

For those who appreciate my precious Grand Baby Cutes ~

Technology – Can’t Live With It Can’t Live Without It

Hope your 2019 is off to a fabulous start. Mine has been delightful in some ways and disappointing in others. Of important note - the disappointment was all in the way I imagined events.

Technology dilemmas have plagued me since I started using it. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve just want to disappear to my junglebeach and forget all about technology. But then I remember to be grateful for all it allows me to do at this time – including being in touch with loved ones. My previous computer, which was happily welcomed into my life as a gift from an Angel Friend, started to have issues shortly after I got it. Technology issues can be particularly difficult to resolve when someone moves around a lot. The amazing team at AXICOM did everything they could then we still ended up sending it back to Dell since it was under their warranty. Dell had it for almost 2 months. When I got it back, it still had problems. However, I didn’t want to deal with them because it was so effortful communicating productively with Dell in the first place and not having my computer at all was worse than having it with the problems. Pages could be written about the saga of my computer but you really don’t want to read about that any more than I want to relive it by writing. Toward the end of last year, Costco came through miraculously for me. In spite of my computer being out of warranty, and all my dealings with their less than satisfactory concierge,

I serendipitously found the magicians in the company who actually granted me a refund. Now, here I am feeling blessed on my new laptop. So that’s a bit about my computer. In an ironic twist, shortly after my previous post My Gypsea Life saying I didn’t desire a smartphone, I acquired one – another long story I’ll spare you the minutiae of. Mainly, I accepted it because one of my work exchange hosts wanted me to communicate with him via WhatsApp. Usually when I go to another country, I just purchase a simple, inexpensive phone there. Verizon assured me the smartphone was unlocked and I could use it with any other carrier. Turns out it would not work with any carriers in the region. For all practical purposes, I still did not have a smartphone. My work exchange situation was complex – as have been many in the past. I wasn’t in the location I anticipated and the work not quite as described….or particularly respectful. The only internet I had access to turned out to be a known spammer IP which compromised my computer. This resulted in my email being hacked over and over thus preventing me from accessing my main email. Had a couple other technological issues as well but you get the point. Again, a big shout out to all my bright Technology Angels, including AXICOM and Thinking2, who remotely held my hand to help get me through these experiences!

Time after time, I get the feeling that the technology will never work for me and want to do away with it. Some might also tell you stories of the strange things technology does in my presence. Then, I realize it’s important for my mission at this time. This is a perfect opportunity to Let Go and Let God (or whatever name you prefer for the Divine). I do the best I can and release the outcome. I know all that presents itself in my life is here to serve me and the Higher Good. The more I accept this and be in peace with it, the more powerful my energy is to assist others on this planet and beyond. Yes, some days are easier to put remembrance into practice than others. Now and then I have to have a little pep talk with myself. You’ve heard of the Dark Night of the Soul.

Much of 2018 was a Dark Year for my Soul. Granted, it was still full of love, miracles and blessings at every turn. However, the pep talks I had to give myself were on an almost continuous basis. Life can be like that. We all have challenges to face. They are as big as we allow them to be or see them to be. Conversely, they are as small as we allow grace to help us view them. It’s not a matter of right or wrong. It is just our experience and the choices we play with.

How about you? Do you have challenges you seem to have to face over and over again? How do you choose to experience them? Is there a way you can embrace the situations thus experiencing them more “lightly”? I do not judge you and encourage you not to judge yourself. Rather acknowledge you are doing the best you can and consciously make the highest choice you can in each moment.
                                    Namaste!

Have Courage and Be Kind

Originally I entitled this blog post, “Dark Night of the Soul”. As time went by, and I slowly began to reclaim my power, I shifted my focus more on one of the phrases that helped me make it through. “Have Courage and Be Kind” might be recognized by other fairy tale aficionados. Fairy tales have been key in my life since, at very young age, I laid eager little hands on my first enchanted book. A myriad of reasons drew me into the world of fantasy. One might observe that fairy tales have as much dark in them as light. Hmmm…..that is
kind of like life. There is Light and Dark all around. We choose which to focus on and also which we wish to create more of – either consciously or unconsciously. Magic also drew me into tales lending to elements most everyday people don’t believe in, much less access. For me, there was more truth and joy in the enchanting stories I got lost in than what people presented as truth. Interestingly, many of the things that folks attributed to vivid imaginations are being “proven” today by “modern” science and countless people sharing their own experiences. Still, for those of us with “unusual” awareness, science can be painfully slow.

So……how many times is it necessary for this human to experience a “Dark Night of the Soul” until a full awakening? Perhaps the answer is in the question. As many times as it takes until a full awakening. If you are interested in looking in to this experience further, Gregg Prescott presents an interesting article "What to Remember When Facing the Dark Night of the Soul"

Encountering the snow and cold as you read in my previous post LET IT GO wasn’t the only experience I totally wasn’t anticipating…..

While I thought I was also past this, some small part of me must have still been exuding somewhat of a victim vibe. As many of you know, the energies we put out are matched with those that share resonance. So, inevitably, I managed unwittingly to attract someone who would accommodate my subconscious victim call. This was no Beauty and the Beast story as I had no clue of what I was about
to encounter. Feeling a false sense of safety, I confided my private information and some very deep things including personal woundings from my past, to that individual, allowing myself to be extremely vulnerable. Instead of protecting that trust, the truth of what I shared was completely twisted and used repeatedly as ammunition against me. Over the months, I had semi-consciously permitted myself to be weakened both physically and emotionally. Thoughts of Prince Hans (Frozen) and King Stefan (Maleficent) swirl through my mind repeatedly....

Somehow, I have attracted this Jekyll and Hyde situation a number of times in my life. So, whatever it is in me that was calling that, I am so ready to release it. Like the feelings that no longer served me in my previous blog post, it’s time to Let It Go!

Hear Elsa’s voice in Frozen singing determined…. “Funny how some distance makes everything seem small. And the things that bothered me can’t get to me at all. Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know…….” What was I concealing? I was beginning to conceal my magnificence. In the process, I had to a certain extent not feel to have any sense that any of this was alright at all. Constantly second guessing myself, I was getting to the point I no longer even trusted my own intuition. Finally, I was able to make some distance from this dark situation physically.
It took weeks of cocooning in safe loving refuges to put the necessary distance emotionally and spiritually though. I am starting to feel more like my authentic magnificent self every day and can, once again, courageously declare….. “You have no power over me!” Yet one more situation transcended by the Light!

Are you living in your magnificent authenticity? Are the people surrounding you supportive and reflective of your own bright light? Are you being who you truly are or someone you feel you need to be for others? As someone able to see many angles of this human existence, perhaps I can guide you to a higher, more genuine way of living. If this stirs something deep inside you, with hopes of more fulfilling possibilities, perhaps Wellness Coaching via Phone is for you. If so, I look forward to your email and would be honored to serve you.

I have now reached the place again of clarity and remembrance of contracts made before arriving on planet earth. In this knowing, I am extremely grateful for all who have played their unique parts so perfectly thus far in my life.
Walking through both the Dark and Light has enabled me to reach a more profound level of BEING than ever. The world continues to brightly transform through the eyes and heart of deep compassion and loving kindness. A huge thank you especially to all you Earth Angels who have lovingly supported me through this experience. Waves of appreciation, also, to all my Mermaid, Dolphin and Fairy Friends.
